The Royal Mint introduced the Platinum Britannia in 2018. One troy ounce of .9995 fine platinum, 32.69mm diameter, £100 face value. The reverse uses Philip Nathan's 1987 Britannia design with a radial sunburst background. As British legal tender, it may carry tax advantages in certain jurisdictions. IRA-eligible.
